HEAD OF SCHOOL   (Start Date:  June 2024):


Located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Southlake Montessori is committed to providing an authentic, AMI Montessori experience for children ages 3 to 12 years.  Our small school environment provides opportunity for a motivated and engaged Head of School to be an active leader in its growth.  Our new Head of School will be supported by a strong board, staff, and parent community.

CLASSROOM SUBSTITUTES   (Start Date:  As Needed):


Southlake Montessori currently has Open Positions for Classroom Substitutes.  Classroom Substitutes will support Lead Teachers or the Classroom Assistant in their absence.  Classroom Substitutes are needed for both the Primary (3 to 6 year old) and Elementary (6 to 12 year old) classrooms. This position requires respect for and patience with children.  It also requires an adult who will encourage and support a child working towards independence, and who will model for the children the appropriate manners and behaviors.  Hours:  As needed between 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


  Example Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Adhere to school safety policies and procedures.
  • Become familiar with Montessori terminology and methods.
  • Assist with providing the children with a "prepared environment" - Keep the classroom clean and inviting.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Allow children to be as independent as possible.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary in support of the classroom.


  Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clear background check (performed by Southlake Montessori).
  • Physical capacity to work with school-aged children including but not limited to bending, minor lifting and working on the floor.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Prior work with children, especially in a Montessori environment, also is a plus!
