Peggy Browning, Primary Assistant & Advancement Director

Peggy Browning has been a dedicated Montessori for more than 20 years.  She served in administration for two other local schools and also for the Association Montessori Internationale USA (AMI/USA).  Being passionate about the Montessori mission, Peggy has enjoyed volunteering at both the Montessori Institute of Texas (MIT) and the Montessori Institute of North Texas (MINT) to bring Montessori teacher training, professional development and community awareness to the DFW area.  She also actively supports Barbara Gordon's Silent Journey and Discovery , a Montessori experiential program for adults.

Mrs. Browning obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University, and a certificate in Montessori Core Principles from MINT.  With three grown children of her own, and one grandchild (can't wait for more!), Peggy has previously taught in a pre-school cooperative, children's Sunday school classes, and led a girl-scout troop.    After substituting last year in our Primary and Elementary classrooms, the children captured her heart.  She is excited to be serving them this year as Ms. Elin's Primary Assistant.

Cheyenne Chin, Elementary Assistant

Cheyenne graduated with her B.S. in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and began her studies in the AMI 6-12 Elementary Diploma Course with the Montessori Institute of North Texas in 2021.  Prior to joining Southlake Montessori, Cheyenne taught 3rd grade at the Suzanne Dickinson Elementary School in Grand Prairie.  Cheyenne has had many years of practical experience enriching children daily outside of her work as a teacher and is continually learning from her students and further education.

Cheyenne lives in Arlington with her husband and two dogs, bolt and Luna.  She enjoys outdoor activities, rock climbing, exploring her love of food and spending time with friends and family.
